| I removed my doors and took them to a steel fabrication facility and had them cut identicly horizontally. I removed my inner door panels and am in progress of redoing the the interior to match nicely and meet with a nice seam. The whole door wont be lifted just the top half and t-top. I had my t-tops disassembled and reinforced with steel for more durability as would of course be needed in this project. I am now debating 1 of 3 different ways Ive come up with to attach the top to the door. I still need to reinforce the t-bar and install the hinges. I'm using nice hydrolic shocks with an electric trigger mechanism controled by a toggle. The toggle will mount on a special junction box Guapo helped me build into my ashtray area for my "hideaway" license plate toggle. (Thanks for all the help installing this Guapo. Works like a charm.) Anyway my lower door sill has been welded in place and it looks rough now but as soon as the rest of the work is complete I will install my "VADER" kit and repaint. So far the whole project is coming together nicely and I already have a photo shoot and story on the horizon in a soon to be mentioned magazine. They are going to be doing a Z special in January featuring my Z and FlyingZcar. Thank you all for your e-mails inquiring about my conversion and any help I can offer you to do these mods aswell and as soon as I get to a good point I'll snap a few pics. Finished product will be seen in the magazine tho.
